Like for all sporting events the right gear is of great importance. Therefore we gathered a few tips and tricks for your:

  • Shoes: Spikes and shoes with dobbs are not allowed! We recommend running shoes with a solid profile.
  • Clothing: Since we hope for good weather we would recommend some shorts and a t-shirt. Kneepads or a knee-lenght shorts could prevent you from abrasions.
  • Gloves: We recommend you to at least wear biking-gloves. It will be easier on some obstacles!

Infos for 2021: Coming soon!

We have coorporations with really nice hotels!

News will come soon!

The time will be measured with a chip, which will be attached to your shoelaces.

The results will be published on this website one hour after the competition has finished.

We will award the 3 fastest women and men no matter their age, also the 3 fastest women, men and mixed teams (the 4 fastest in the team get the prize) and the best couple team wins a prize as well.

Within all Beat the City  competitions the code of honor is valid. Team cohesion and trying yourself best to manage all the obstacles is granted.

All obstacles need to be conquered in a proper way. If you can not conquer an obstacle, leave the guided course or need to quit the race due to injury. We are sorry, but we need to DSF you. Even if you are unfair or have an negative gamesmanship we need you to be DSF.

The medical staff along the lane is allowed to take you out of the race, if they see any injuries or any signs of exhaustions.  You must listen to the instructions of the security and medical staff.

If you can not conquer an obstacle you may continue the race DSF.

Please be a good sportsman and sportswoman. Thanks!

Specific run and strenght training with coordinative Elements are good ways to train for the Beat the City competition. Run over rough and smooth and if you have the chance to, run the official route beforehand. Pull-ups and other strength exercises won’t hurt too.
